  Susan Brotherton - Library Coordinator

My history with Ralph Moody Elementary goes way back! My mother was a Library volunteer for the three years my brother attended school here. I became involved with Ralph Moody 16 years ago when my oldest daughter started kindergarten. I was PTO Vice President, VIPS coordinator and room parent before I was hired as a paraprofessional in 1998. I became the Media Center Coordinator in 2001. Along with running the Library I am involved with the assessments the children take, which include CSAP, MAP and a few others. I love working with the children and staff of our school! When I’m not working I love spending time with my husband, Tim and our three children—who keep us quite busy. Ashley is a senior at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Chelsea is a freshman at the University of Colorado-Boulder and Max is a junior at Heritage High School. All three of our children attended Ralph Moody Elementary because we believed it was truly “a great place to be!”

 Jane Coulter - Literacy Coach

My education and teaching career remains deeply rooted in Littleton Public Schools. After attending Euclid and Heritage High School, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and I aspired to return and teach in Littleton. For more than 22 years I’ve had the privilege to work in this outstanding school district. My experiences encompass classroom teaching and literacy specialist. Currently as literacy coach, I work closely with classroom teachers to improve students’ reading and writing achievement.

I look forward to getting to know you and your children. Together we will build exceptional readers and writers. And who knows? They may return to teach right here at Moody Elementary!

Ashley Guzman - Gifted and Talented / Enrichment

About a year after having been drawn by the mountains to Denver from Indianapolis, I discovered Ralph Moody Elementary. I am thrilled to be here with the many extraordinary people who comprise this kind and supportive community. Throughout the week, I have the opportunity to instruct fourth and fifth grade gifted students, third grade advanced language arts students and kindergarten through second graders who meet with me for enrichment.

Prior to teaching in Littleton, I had the opportunity to work with gifted students at the Logan School for Creative Learning. I also taught a math and reading remediation course at an elementary school in Zionsville, Indiana. The experience that brought me west, however, was completing my student teaching on the Navajo Reservation in Toadlena, New Mexico. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University in Ohio and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NOVA Southeastern University.
