Thursdays
I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech/Language Pathology (1995) and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (1997). I began working in the schools while living in Kansas in 1997. During my first year of working, I achieved my Clinical Competency Certification (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and I renew my CCC each year.
When my husband and I moved to Colorado in 1998, I began working for Littleton Public Schools. I have provided services to students with moderate to severe/profound communication difficulties, as well as consulted and collaborated with special education teams, general education teachers, and other support staff. I enjoy working with students with a wide range of abilities. Currently, I work on the Autism Identification Team and am the district facilitator for the Statewide Assistive, Augmentative, Alternative Communication (SWAAAC) Team. I enjoy seeking out new evidenced based practices/strategies in many communication areas, including autism, assistive technology and literacy.
My husband and I have two children and a dog who keep us quite busy. Besides spending time with my family and friends in Colorado, we enjoy visiting our extended families in Kansas.
