 Michelle Butler - Speech/LanguageMinimize

Thursdays

I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech/Language Pathology (1995) and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (1997). I began working in the schools while living in Kansas in 1997. During my first year of working, I achieved my Clinical Competency Certification (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and I renew my CCC each year.

When my husband and I moved to Colorado in 1998, I began working for Littleton Public Schools. I have provided services to students with moderate to severe/profound communication difficulties, as well as consulted and collaborated with special education teams, general education teachers, and other support staff. I enjoy working with students with a wide range of abilities. Currently, I work on the Autism Identification Team and am the district facilitator for the Statewide Assistive, Augmentative, Alternative Communication (SWAAAC) Team. I enjoy seeking out new evidenced based practices/strategies in many communication areas, including autism, assistive technology and literacy.

My husband and I have two children and a dog who keep us quite busy. Besides spending time with my family and friends in Colorado, we enjoy visiting our extended families in Kansas.

Emily Ganan - Speech / Language

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday a.m.

I am proud to be providing speech-language therapy to Ralph Moody students for the 6th year. I received my B.A. in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands, and my M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Illinois. Following graduation, I spent three years as a speech-language pathologist for a school district in California. I have been a member of ASHA (American Speech-Language and Hearing Association) for the past 9 years and I hold my CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Each year, I participate in continuing education opportunities to keep up with the changes in my field.

Although I miss the California weather, I am glad to be back in Colorado, where I grew up. I live with my wonderful husband, our precious daughter, and our lovable cat. My interests include singing, swimming, reading, and spending time with my family.

 Paula Graziano - Resource

I am in my 12th year at our school and began by teaching in both the Resource and TAB classrooms then moving last year to teaching full-time in the Resource program. Watching these students grow in their Language Arts and Math skills and sharing in their pride of accomplishment is a joy. Personally I am a native of Colorado having been born in Denver and raised in Boulder, attending the University of Colorado where my father was a professor. I have a BA in Spanish and an MA in Special Education. I moved to Denver and taught middle school emotionally disturbed for a number of years and then have continued my career in Littleton. The best part of my life are my 3 children who went to Lenski, Newton and graduated from Arapahoe High School. Presently they have either graduated from or are attending CU except for my one straggler who goes to DU.

 Jennifer Shoen - TAB

I was born and raised here in Littleton, Colorado. I attended Highlands Ranch High School back when it was a Junior/Senior High School. I played volleyball at Eastern New Mexico University for two years where I majored in Special Education. I came home and finished my degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Elementary Education at Metro State in Denver. After graduating, I accepted the job as the TAB teacher at Ralph Moody Elementary. This is my 10th year with Ralph Moody and I still love it as much as I did when I was a brand new teacher walking through the front door. Shortly after starting here at Ralph Moody I received my Master’s Degree from University of Colorado. Today, I spend my free time with my husband, Wes, and our two little men, Noah and Bode. I also enjoy working out and playing volleyball..
