I was born and raised in the small, rural community of Olathe on the western slope of Colorado (it’s now “famous” for sweet corn). I attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. I began my teaching career in Montrose, Colorado as a junior high school teacher. I also taught at the high school and coached high school football and baseball for many years. I was hired as the principal of Columbine Middle School (Montrose) in 1998 and after three years, moved to Douglas County. I came to Littleton as the principal of Ralph Moody in 2004. This is my 28th year in the education profession; seventeen years teaching and this will be my eleventh year as a school principal. I am so happy and proud to be at Ralph Moody Elementary School. It is truly, “A great place to be.”
I've been married to my wonderful wife, Gaylene, for 28 years. Our son, Riley, is a junior at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (UCCS).
